Moto Spectator

The purpose of the Moto Spectator project is to increase awareness of supermoto racing here in the USA, and help people become supermoto racing fans. I think motorcycle racing is tons of fun and I want to share that with everyone. Originally, the project was to raise awareness of all forms of pro motorcycle racing in the USA. But the more I learned about the "new" sport of supermoto, the more I wanted to focus my efforts there.

For now, I'm focusing specifically on amateur supermoto racing in the USA. The idea I came up with is to create a web site for people to get information about the various supermoto racing series taking place around the USA. As an offshoot of that, I'm also working with a couple other people on lining up some sponsors for the regional series to help them expand.

How You Can Help
To make this project a success, I need a few people to help me gather and organize the pieces, in addition to the specific talent to create the deliverables for the project.

To make the web site a success, I need
* A web site developer to create a clean, fast, easy to use, and easy to maintain web site.
* A sponsor to pay for the web hosting, or a web hosting company to donate the hosting.

If you promote one of the regional series or if you're a potential sponsor, please contact me!

The remaining parts of my project are that I'll get mentioned in the media (Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain is one idea), and that my experience as a relatively new-to-the-sport, female fan who is trying to evangelize an almost all male sport will be documented and shared, to provide laughs (more fun) and inspiration for others. Do you have media contacts I could leverage, or tips for the best way to document my experience?

In addition, the following types of contacts may also be helpful:
* anyone who has ideas about how to increase awareness (and attendance at events) of motorcycle racing here in the USA.
* anyone in professional car racing, especially marketing types -- to get ideas I can translate to the motorcycle racing industry
* motorcycle manufacturers -- to learn about their existing efforts in promoting motorcycles and the sport of racing
* race track owners and managers -- to learn about that side of the industry
* people who work for any motorsports regional amateur racing leagues
* people who work for other national pro racing sanctioning bodies -- e.g., British Superbike Series
* FIM (the European pro racing sanctioning body) -- to learn what they do to increase awareness and attendance

This is a completely volunteer effort, so all the talent needs to be donated. Anyone who helps will get kudos and a link on this web site & the informational web site, if they want.

Please send this web site's link on to whomever you think can help with talent, ideas, or encouragement. Don't keep it a secret. Even just by telling others about my project, you're helping me raise awareness of supermoto racing!!

Thanks!
Jennifer

p.s. This project was originally called "Moto Evangelist", but too many people thought there was a religious affiliation. Not everyone uses "evangelism" the way we tech geeks do!
